Hammam culture is a culture that dates back to the earliest ages and has come a long way. Cleaning, as well as food and shelter, was considered very important in ancient times as it is now. Therefore, people settled near places such as rivers and streams, and met their cleaning needs with these puddles.

This need for cleaning lasted for centuries and led to the formation of hammams. Since the bathrooms in the houses were insufficient, people needed larger buildings, so they started to build the hammams. Although the hammam that can be shown as the first hammam is not known exactly, as a result of the excavation researchers, it is thought that the oldest hammams belong to the Ancient Roman period. These hammams, which belong to the city of Pompeii, are quite luxurious and were made for entertainment as well as cleaning. The places where the hammam culture is seen most are Ottoman and Roman. The emergence of the hammam culture in Europe comes from the Ottoman hammam culture.

The Ottomans, who attached great importance to cleanliness, made the hammam culture more common by building a hammam next to each mosque. People meet their cleaning needs almost entirely in hammams. In addition, the Ottomans adopted the hammam culture so much that they acquired customs such as the bridal hammam before the wedding. After the conquest of Istanbul, the Europeans, who saw the importance of cleanliness in the Ottoman Empire and the hammams, started to give importance to cleanliness and built hammams. In this way, the hammam culture spread all over Europe. Today, the use of hammam is still common, but people do not prefer the hammam as they used to, since they can be cleaned easily in their bathrooms.

However, by carrying the hammam to the house, they carried the products such as exfoliating mitt and bowl, which were used in the hammam before, to the houses, and they still continued the hammam culture. It has been observed that, especially, the exfoliating mitts used in the hammams continue to be used at home. The reason for this is that the exfoliating mitts help to clean all the dead skin in the body as if it were being cleaned in the heat of hammam.

You can also use the mitts in the link to feel as if you are being cleaned with the heat of the hammam. Buy on Beautya New York
